Gullet cleaned, material under and inside removed, maximum cutter height kept taking only enough to create a square corner.
Not done yet, but do you all suppose the angle under top plate is steep enough? Or shal I go more? If more, I may get a little more forward lean than I like.

You could go more and still keep the side plate straight, but your top plate angle will increase

Looks good to me. About like my chain that won the 3120 chain race. I had about 5 degrees of lean and a 30° top plate.

Then on to making it look the part. If I finish it tonight, I'll put up another pic with different views.
They are very thin.. May be prone to break if they hit a knot.

I'm still wondering about the white pine them chains were run in. Totally mis-judged what it would do to the saw if left tall.
It was sure a good experiment. I'm glad Kevin held the test.

After looking at some of the cutters folks were showing, I figured they would gag that little Echo for sure, and you'd have to be holding up on the saw to get it through the cant..

This was not the case!
Lol..

I prefer yellow poplar cants. But I figured with the stock 39cc testing I didnt want to spend 2 days at the cants.

I put the picco on the ported 026 yesterday. Need to check something as chain isnt pulling through easily. Thinking hitting the bumper pads on cover.
