I know there are some Solo junkies out there. Need help with a saw. Its in great shape, bought it off a guy who was moving. All it needed was an oil cap. But I've noticed that you fill it up with oil and leave it outside it will empty the tank quick. I looked everywhere for a shop manual. Where is the tank vent located or is it a symptom of the saw and I've got to empty out the tank every time I use the saw?

I have no experience with that saw, even so some basic checks
to look for issues needs to be done.
Look for a crack in the tank.
Take bar off and look if there is damage behind it that
could contribute to the oil pouring out.
Have you added a new cap to the oil tank, does this slow
down the amount leaked out.
There will be a pipe from the oil pump to the channel where
the bar oil flows to the bar, is that pipe perished torn or fell off.

Someone who knows those saws will come along and be of more help.
Look up a parts list for that saw, it will show the pump and whatever
pipes are involved to get the oil to the bar, will make it clearer as to where
to look for leaks and get at the parts involved.

Thank you for yoir input. I havent checked the oil pump, it seems to be when the oil heats up as I have it in the garage now and no oil coming out. So I'm leaning towards pressure, got to find out where the pressure valve is. If its like a Husky and behind the guide plate..dont know...
