Most of the time I use jigs. Last couple days I’ve been trolling crankbaits. Fished all day today but usually like early morning and late evening for times.

Trolling bite has been off this year for me. I'm still throwing jigs at piles. Usually mid-May is time I start the trolling but I was still catching unspawned females at that time.

Caught this nice Largemouth today at Cave Run Lake. He was about 15 inches and 2.5 pounds.

Here's a few for the thread. My boys kicked my butt that with Lil bluegills. My 1 rock bass out of the Kankakee river. Tasted good

Still finding them. One had an old injury that had healed over. No deformed scales or scar tissue. Rays coming off the spine were about half length in that location.

Work of a toothy fish like a pike or boat prop?

Prop, turtle, other fish, it's anybody's guess at this point. Had to be done when it was little for it to heal like that. Been picking up some for a few years that are stunted and have a knot of bone right by the tail. Have to try to find a picture of one of those. Had only seen that on whites but I caught a black with the same thing earlier this year.

Bought an old Cadillac boat from my uncle for small lakes and Ryan to use when he gets his license soon. The old Johnson was toast so when I went to the scrap yard and saw an old 6hp mercury I enquired about it and brought it home after a look over. Ended up just needing a water pump impeller had 125 psi both cylinders and nice strong spark. Started on 3 pull but not pumping water so one little repair and good to go.
