Ok. That's the old style. The newer Mac Matco and cornwell ones are just like red97s OTC set. I have that kit and haven't had a problem. I wonder what's Dif.

Too light a spring and too long of hose is gonna be my guess

Take plug out, insert comp tester. Tie throttle open (for less pulls). Then Pull cord till ya blue in the face.

Reccomed being done with an empty tank, as some saws will flood out..

On a Snap On this would eliminate the 10" hose and the gage and quick connect would connect to this. Reducing 10" of hose would help lessen # of pulls I would assume. Snap On short reach 14mm- # MT 26 6B

The tool truck stops by here once a week ,he stopped by yesterday so will be next week ,i can check the adaptors see what cost off the truck .

This is the process I was using .... after all the Schrader valves were going bad ....i was like wtf!! Am I doing or missing a step in the process .... lol

But the length of hose ... wouldn't the longer hose be a lower reading. ...

Hose length doesn't change how much it compresses. Just takes longer to compress more volume.

i do not open the throttle up ,it still reads fine after 3-4 pulls

Won't start anyway with no spark plug usually.

Pull some saws over enough they wont start after you put the plug back in.
