Silver Brazing Muffler Mod Deflectors

Has anyone tried brazing muffler mod deflectors? Their melting point is 650c but for some reason they say working temperature is 200c…

Yea , no issues check muffler mod thread , use silver braze for extra ports and pipes .

I have uses traditional flux coated brazing rods and now use the Silver solder stuff. Both work great but the silver is so much easier.

Paying $300 for a year worth of silver solder is bad enough so I use bronze braze for carbon steel. Silver solder at $30/oz would be $600 if I used it on carbon steel as well
