Got the first of three different sixleaf knives I ordered this is the sl-14
I always wanted a grimsmo Norseman but they are around 1k this was 36.00 with a somewhat similar blade shape

This thing weighs nothing and arrived extremely sharp
It's a keeper.

it from Down Under Knives called the "The outback".

Not a huge knife guy, my EDC is a Milwaukee folding utility knife and I like it just fine, but I got this Opinel as a gift for being in a wedding last weekend. Thought it was pretty cool.

Perfect time to catch some damn good USA made Ka-bar knives. Only advice I'd add, stay away from the hard plastic molle sheath version knives (most are offered in hard plastic molle or leather sheath version) if looking to collect them, and not for some sort of normal/routine use...molle sheaths will scratch the hell out of the blades' finish.

The USN versions listed on Ka-bar now are either leather or hard plastic molle. Haven't heard anything mentioned about the old fiberglass sheaths in years. I think it was the Nord 4723 sheath, scabbard as it was referred to most often years ago, if memory serves. Wouldn't really know which direction to point you in other than maybe surplus stores or just happen to run across one one day. Might try ebay or something like that possibly.

I did some looking and no one makes a repop. It was last produced in 1944 but my Dad was issued one in Nam. I was hoping to find a repop to give to my dad so he can have one that he doesn't care about abusing, he'll just have to deal with the MOLLE as it's the closest.

It was extended 12 hrs until noon today, Thurs...found out the hard way after putting two more Ka-bar's in my cart and checking out. I called Ka-bar and they made an exception and gave me the 50% discount over the phone (just happened to do all this around 12:10pm EST). The 50% sale is officially over with now.

I prefer the slicer grind for everything I do
