Thanks I've never tried boiled linseed I've only ever used danish oil or teak oil

I'm not sure, I have never tried it on a axe head. I have done some small parts, and after 2 days they were like new.

I will take the axe out tomorrow and see how it turns out I picked it up at a boot sale on Sunday it's only a 1 1/2 lb head nice shape good ring too it and it looked like there was a crown stamped on there so can't wait too check it out
