I've been asking the same question!

I can get the 1.2, 2.0 & 2.5kg heads, but their design can not compare to my old faithful 1.8kg ax.

Local blacksmith won't do ax heads, but will make sword replicas on order.

Picked these 2 up for $25.

No real use for the black one, anyone ever try throwing one of these? The regular hatchet looks a few years old, decent made tool steel seems a little soft of the bat.

any news or new axes

Here is a head i got from multifaceted over on arboristsite ,had a larger eye like an arvika racing axe ,i split some wood ,it does well ,little wider than the arvika so sticks a little less ,unknown brand ,says 4 1/2 on the head

The racing axe handles are rough turned in the grip area for custom shaping .

Lightly burned the grain with this torch ,then boiled linseed oil
The raw axe handle is same as i started with for shape and color ,i bought 2

got it from Baileys ,link makes them ,32 inch length
