Yeah nice axes you have there that’s what I dig about this thread all these styles of axes from the different countries
Beautiful handle. Almost to nice to use.

PlumbCan’t believe I forgot this cruiser was in the rust remover. I think it’s been about a week and a half? Lol! Cleaned up nice, very dark and wide temper line on this little beauty.
That oval stain in the first pic is from the sediment in the rust remover, I think it’s time to strain it.

Think I’m gonna make a 28” for this one. Just gotta find the time, summer is kicking my butt lately...lolWhat handle you gonna put in this one my friend
30” to 32” is a real nice length handle for a double bit. They swing a lot better than most would assumeYes I know what you mean so many things too do when the weather is right
28” should look perfect
I put a 30” on that last Plumb I did
Man I hear ya, Sometimes they just don’t feel right. Better to move it along than hang it on the wall for it to never move again.I bought that Helko vario axe didn’t get on with the curved handle
So I put a straight ash handle in there to see if it felt better and it was
But I didn’t click with this sucka so it’ll go out the door
Wish we were closer too, sounds like a good time. Which do you prefer of the two? Maul or ax?I wish you guys were closer so I could let you both swing the GB Splitting Maul and Splitting Ax.
If you're looking for something sweet to hand split wood, there is nothing better.
Yup there’s some stuff that an ax just won’t split. Noodling big blocks down to size helps my back too.For the majority of my splitting, the splitting ax will do. But for those big knotty pieces, you need the maul. OR just use saw and noodle those pieces.
I prefer the splitting ax though.
That looks awesome AJ! Nice touch
