Needs pistons and cylinders for these saws? Maybe our benefactor site owner could look into if there was enough interest.

Google alibaba site.
I doubt that there were too many of that model sold from Shindaiwa.

I dunno they turn up.on CL and eBay pretty regular. I have two( or most of two). They're like Alpina was. Lot of market penetration in certain areas none in others.

I think the 25 buck aftermarket ones are made in a mud hut in somewhereistan.
The OEM is spendy and usually out of stock.

I understand... I'm crazy cheap.... Anything I can't ride doesn't get much money...

I would venture your jug will clean up. Shindaiwa castings are first rate.

I put a Golf piston into a 757 nearly 10 years ago. It's still going.

I have used Golf pistons in other applications as well without issue.

They are $25. OEM is $60. If your jug cleans up nice, buy OEM. If it looks real rough, throw a $25 piston in it and run it.
