While back i baught a bunch of saws for cheap to play with get running and sell. Not.making much off them but just for something to do.
Anyhow guy comes today to buy one. 25 bucks. I fire it up fires first pull. Acually surprised me too lol.
Then he asks if i had other saws still available. I grab a couple more. Go to start the poulan and fires on fourth pull and running on fifth. He didnt like that thought it should have fired rite up lol.
The he asks if i could show him it cuts. No prob. Then he asks if he can try. Sure what ever lol.
I can tell this guy has never used one as he using it like a hand saw with excellent push and pull action on the chainsaw.
Then i ask him for curiosity how big tje tree trunk is he said he was cutting. As he shows me about 2 feet with his hands i just thought good luck lol.
Then he asks how to mix fuel oil for it. Told him i mix 40:1 ( no this is not an oil thread now lol) i then tild him you could vuy premix already to go called tru fuel at canadian tire. Now he looks real confused lol.
Then he asks what he needs to sharpen chain. I tell him the file size then he asks me to show him how to file the chain. So i explained to him and said tjer lots of vids on youtube.
He finally leaves and i turn to my son and say i bet he will never be able to make it go lol.

Thought it was funny and just sharing with yas.

Just think of all the saws that fly off the shelves of big box stores after a storm, into the hands of owners that never mixed gas, that also feel that safety equipment is an unnecessary expense.

Its the most dangerous power tool you can buy without a special licence in my eyes.

Chainsaws are Medieval. Open chain with cutters being run by 13,000 rpm screaming 2 cycle, what could go wrong. But, I think that is why I enjoy them.

I spent the most time with guy who bought a nice little ms 170. Encouraged using Trufuel and buy a couple extra chains and I could sharpen them.

I sell equipment for two different stores. The independent dealer is by far, less frustrating than the Farm Supply.....the know it all Harry Homeowner will flood a saw faster than a fat girl will eat a doughnut. When I bring up the topic of chaps, I usually here how expensive they are. To which I ask, "how much is your ER CoPay?".....

I like the Volvo SUV driving folks who wouldn't be caught dead with my Walmart Poulan 2150. Nope, they choose the caviar of saws: an MS170 from Ace Hardware. These folks usually also have a $6000 zero turn to mow their 1/4 acre yard. Must be written in to their deed restrictions or something.

Dude just wait, you will see *s-word that makes you wonder why more people ain't dead from saws more often....

I have sold saws to guys that cut a piece of wood and slam the bar right into the ground, or whatever is under the log, thing is they don't think it hurts the chain or anything....

Some start a saw and hold it WOT, all kinds of idiots...I actually told the guy that held the saw WOT, he needs to get an electric or battery saw!!!

Starting a two stroke and holding it wide open probably doesn't really hurt it. But I don't do it to mine, lol. I tell saw customers that if they touch the ground with the chain for 1 second, probably every cutter tooth has sawn dirt three or four times.

Yes it is lol.
This is the saw he didnt want that would have been under powered but better then the skil for the two foot trunk. Was only askin 50 bucks. Plus it had a fairly new chain.

That is actually a pretty good budget saw there, if it was local to me I would buy it. It's a later version of my Poulan 2150 which is surprisingly capable. I have the regular Poulan version in my saw and weedeater graveyard, need to get it out and fix it up.
