I've been in this saw a few times. It first showed up already ported.......I tried to save it with a 272XP piston. It turned out sorta ok. Then Scott supplied a new 681 top end.......and it was better, but there was more to be had.

So.......I went back in it yet again. Just a few small changes.

What do you like better about the 7910 jug. I thought the 681 jug was the mystical unicorn everyone was lookin for?

The numbers work out better after cutting the squish to allow for the stroke difference. The longer stroke of the Solo means not only does the piston move further up the bore, it also travels further down. So, intake height lands in a better place. The 7910 top end has a huge exhaust outlet.......and a better piston.
