built by Marcel Vincent when it was brand new It is an incredible runner, and apparently fast on muffler as well as pipe.

I put that on there on purpose. Early style west coast cover. How I’ve seen some early saws setup on the coast.

biggest saw Stihl ever made, the 090 is a regular clutch style saw and 090G is a gear drive that has a slightly smaller motor akin to an 070, they are fun to run and good for big long bars when other saws wont pull them, I have a seen a few 090s built into race saws as well

044 builder slant fin 10mm complete, scored piston, intake side of cylinder is smooth through the exhaust port, got it scored with a cracked tank and bought a replacement 044 tank

That must be an early one Dave, the carb cover does not have a snorkel block like mine does.

I do have an OEM 10 mm piston and recoil rope just sitting here … how much for that gem!!! (providing that cylinder is not gouged and can be cleaned up)

I might have a cylinder or 2 that could be cleaned up if you need one...
