Ok I'll leave just pointing out common sense

You have a valid point my friend, on the same note however I personally believe that Picco is a better setup for a starter saw. Less of a bite and therefore less chance to get into trouble. Also, if you learn how to file on Picco everything else is cake in comparison. It may just be personal bias though since my first saw was a POS Poulan running 63PM. Opinions are like posteriors, everyone has one and they all stink.

I personally run both .325 and Picco. Picco is faster and I don't find it dulls that much more quickly than 325.

Pretty sue the Picco setup is lighter.

This is 16" square filed Picco in hard red oak. It ate it up and is still perfectly sharp.

Common sense has finally arrived. Thank you...
That is the plan! The picco set up was so graciously donated and that will be tried out next week when it gets here. I will steal the 16" bar off my 261 and slap a new .325 RS chain on it tonight. We will probably have enough light to fire it up and make a couple cuts in what's left of a English Walnut log I have at the house.
