I figured the 2100 had a longer stroke, ain't the first time I've been wrong.
It's the second. Lol

It's a comparison that I know nothing about, I kinda doubt a 2100 will run a shorter bar better than even a 85cc 064 but as far as a long one I have no idea.

Ain't no such thing as a 2100 here, never even seen one in person.

I do have a stout 395xp how much stronger is a 2100 over it?

I've never run a 2100. But I think you'll be spot on if/when you get to test each

I'll bet on JMS to make it work. He knows how to make that saw breath. The exhaust note says it all. If he did some case work that only helps his high velocity program more.

I made it through page one. That is a twenty page argument on rod length. Been, seen, did there long time ago.

Is there anything more to see there?
Nope, not if you've already seen it. But you're right, page one pretty much covered it.

I saw what you saw. It reads as it does.

We has several guys build a different rod motor to test the theory. It made no real difference unless you get out of hand with it as stated in the thread there. I found out that it really really matters in superstock NR class which are just about non existent now. Every little bit counts in record cars. Stretching the rod will make a salt flats car smoother I'm told. It don't seem to mean spit in a "rollerized," new word maybe?, screamer like a saw. I bet it matters heaps in stroked B&S motor. It turns half the RPMs of a saw. Different animals.

What I got is they are talking,Indy,F1,drag cars all light no load. They seemed befuddled by Cup cars with longer rods. It takes a whole different kind of motor to push a 3400 lb Cup car 200mph than it does a 1525 lb Indy car 200. Big bar,big wood, big saw bigger rod?

Hey jason the o56 project will be a fun project I use mine every chance I get...I've done a few now and they do seem stronger on the 066 case vs the 064...case volume is the only thing I can figure is the diff....but the difference is very small. I use mine alot for noodling big rounds with a 9 pin makes quick work of them...looking forward to your build!

They change the 5.7 length rods to the 6.0 length rods in a Chevy motor to reduce rod angle.

I bet a 2100 and a 660 are close in capacity,the 064 will definitely be smaller but I don't think it's a big deal like I use to.

That's exactly what I was thinking.
Do you run typical port timing?
A yes or no will do,I'm not asking for numbers.
I like the look of your saw, looks sporty

Have you seen a noticeable difference between a strong 066 & the 066 w/ 056 MII rope end?

Exhaust is finished with 1/4" sanding drums. Transfer and intake is done with a single cut burr and a little wd40 nothing else. You don't need lots of equipment to do it. I pretty much use one burr from start to finish.

I just ordered 100 of the little drums from China for $5 delivered.
The WD40 made a difference, stops the cutter biting as easy and lets you smooth out the surface

Thanks again Jay!
