Alright, a little update of sorts. I ordered a case splitter and assembly tool from HL Supply. They did not have OEM bearings and seals so I guess I will source them elsewhere.
I searched and came up with Nachi 6202 C3 open bearings.
Any reason not to use these?

I want to put OEM seals on also. Once I get it tore apart I can tell if the crank is good as well as the cases where the bearing seats.
All this might be in vein if the bearings spun in the cases

Case split this morning. The bearings were definitely crunchy and seized about 90%.
The crank isn’t blue or discolored and the bearings didn’t spin in the case so I think I am ok there.
1-The rod bearings seem ok, assuming I should replace both while this deep in?
2-If the cylinder looks good, would you just run it?
3. Any idea what caused this corrosion? Couple spots inside. All I can think of is some moisture for in it, it was sitting for who knows how long with no spark plug.
4. I spent a few minutes in the parts washer, I think it will clean up good enough for what I want. Surprised to see orange under the grime.

What did you end up doing? The thread just ended so maybe gave up and bought something in better condition? Looks like it was not stored properly. Just curious is all...
