Have a beautiful Sachs Dolmar 111 and the crummy black plastic pawl ( can't find it on parts list) in the chain brake assembly broke during a Christmas tree fundraiser. AND upon disaassembly a small wire spring about the size of a quarter (PN 020 166 010) escaped into the hay and balsam needles never to be found. :-( I have seen this spring on Ebay for $50 (crazy money) which originally sold for $1.88 but it's useless without the pawl which I have not seen available anywhere. Strange thing is my parts listing for the saw doesn't show either part ....? The saw is perfect otherwise. A functioning chain brake is very desireable but unless I can find parts at a reasonable price not sure what I'll do at this point.

Interesting and thanks for the response.
The brake assembly doesn't look at all like mine. I'm guessing I may have an older model saw.
Parts are getting harder to find for these saws.

Oh, yeah, that is a bit different. I hear you about parts getting harder for certain saws! There are several threads here about people on the hunt for parts to get a saw running. Sometimes someone has a bunch of parts squirreled away and you hit the jack pot!!

So I have been doing some research. and I have an early SD111.
This is an image of an early SD 111 brake assembly disassembled...
I need a 020 213 073 which is called a "weight holder" on the parts list and is the black plastic part on the left of the image.
I also need the "spring stop" PN 020 213 190 which you cannot see in the assembled portion of the brake.
