Pete was never one sided and always offered open minded advice on parts or techniques. Very sorry to hear of his passing. RIP you fine Canadian sir known as Rocketnorton!

I was able to stop and visit Pete one time while I was in the area. Hard to believe that was 10 years ago already.

He wouldn't let me go away empty handed, and gave me a McCulloch hardnose bar. I did manage to fit it in my suitcase for the flight home.

I haven’t been around much lately, but I must say Pete was a very generous fellow. He always went out of the way to get/offer me saws. Even if it were something he fancied. On one memorable occasion, he took a ride out to Vancouver Island years ago - just to strap a big CounterVibe to his bike that he knew I wanted. Made me laugh thinking about the optics. Lots of Homelites, Pioneers and Poulans followed. Chatted lots about living in Kamloops in the 80’s, music, building bikes and so on. Never got a chance to run saws or go for a rip on the bikes with him.

Cheers Pete. Many thanks again.

Rest easy.
