What are you working on? you need the spark plug installed to create compression to pump the fuel into the carb , hence why you remove spark plug to clear a flooded cylinder. Are you trying to clear the carb of fuel for storage? If so empty the tank & let it idle till its out of fuel, give it a few more pulls after it dies out & that should do it.
The carburetor works off the impulse signal from the crankcase, not the cylinder so you can pull it over with the spark plug out and it will operate the fuel pump section. They don't really displace a lot of fuel so it can take multiple turns to pump the fuel out, and it will never be completely empty as some drops/residue will remain.
That's what I thought. didn't feel like disassembling my mini mac 35 and putting a long clear fuel line on into a fuel container and check that way. Thanks mark!
