But with that much spitback and the fact that your WOT rpms are under the recommended strike that, I would think the carb is set rich or something is going on. Hmm Husqy webpage says it is supposed to be 7200. Let me check on that. I have seen misprints on their site before

The tach I used was an el cheapo so it may not be the most accurate. I checked and it is supposed to be 7200 RPM. I'll use another tach and check RPM again tomorrow.

Sorry gents, open mouth insert foot. 7,250 is the operating rpms according to the resmax manual. Husky doesn't have it in theirs. Strange.

PR, I spoke before looking. You seem to be spot on in rpms. Maybe it is a design quirk, since ktoom has seen it before.

Your welcome. I bought a 580bts for myself 2 months ago. Ive only put a few tank fulls through it so far. Once the leaves stop falling, I will check my intake tube for oil build up. Ive been feeding it 40:1 stihl ultra. With that being said, i will definitely expect to find oil build up.

Mine tachs 7200 after break-in. FWIW I'm runnin 2R/sef94@40:1.

Checked it today with 2 different tachs and it's definitely running 7250 WOT.

I really like my eb802. I need to take some video of moving giant piles of leaves. I bought mine used, so I drilled a hole in the internal deflector in the muffler. Last time I tached it, the unit was turning 7900ish.

After about four tankfulls I found some oil in mine too. Minimal but there.

I just ordered a Husqvarna 570BTS - upgrading an 11 year old Husqvarna 145BT. Curious if I can expect some oil build up in the 570 as well?

Maybe. Check it after you burn about 10 gallons and see. Doesn't take but a minute to remove and check.

Thanks. 10 gallons? Yea - not gonna be something I worry about. Ive got this Sweet Gum tree that is wearing me out this Winter. Every time I start blowing the leaves I think "time to upgrade" so I am pretty fired up.
