Rebuilding a carb

I've only done maybe 25 carb rebuilds and this one is a first for me

I just started rebuilding a weed eater carb once I had it apart the inside of the carb was covered with a white powder all over inside it anyone ever seen that before ?

I have it soaking in mix fuel right now

If this white powder is under the covers I wonder how much is inside the carb

Again has anyone seen this before ?
