GM must have decided to change manufacturers. All the other turbos for this engine were supplied by Garrett.
I guess we shall see if the Honeywell units fare better. Or worse.

Does it remind you if the ol Honeywell thermostats lol.

I got pulled over by a state trooper one day, when I looked up at him and saw his badge said Mr. Rogers it was everything in me not to laugh.

He seems to be a decent guy, he'll actually work 50-60hrs, but when he gets done he does nothing .
I was thinking that if I left the bar oil out of it it would do a fine job on the cake, and after I saw the folks cut it I though to myself, I could have done better with the saw .

No, he asked if I knew how fast I was going, I said sure 87 . It was a long drawn out story, but I drove away without a ticket. Little bit later I met up with my GF at the time where we talked about meeting, she had seen that I got pulled over and thought it was funny, that is until I told her I didn't get a ticket . Then she was pissed off because earlier that week she got a ticket in the same spot for going 63

Right, I'm sure it would have been fine though without anything for a few cuts .
I lied, plain and simple, I lied. Not proud of it, but I was good at it, then like the end of the movie flight with Denzel Washington it was like I reached my lifetime limit of lies .
The cop was the Mr rogers cop and was a guy, I'm not sure how I kept a straight face, most likely I was stoned too .
Wonder what he knew looking back, most cops aint stupid, but some sure can be .

I went at looked at the pic of the schematic again..
Yeah, I did! Sorry. I just looked at the colors coming out of the sensor..
GM has gotten better with using the same color for the entire circuit now. I forgot that back then they had a tendency to change at each connector.

No problem...

In reality, I should have put the resistor on the car side of the purple and white/black wires (on the sensor harness) but I guess it doesn't really matter.

Ok... you lied to me.

It's actually purple and orange/ black on the car side. No harm, that's what butt connectors are for.

Used a 100 ohm resistor and the gauge reads about 1/4. More importantly is the CEL is gone and no codes are stored.

Obligatory picture so I can officially be part of this thread.

I have never done anything stupid like splice the wrong side of the connector!


Fuel tank selector switch for my truck. Truck wont start by wiring the switch to itself!!!

I was at the storage locker getting some saw parts and it decided to storm on me, I got a new shotgun saw for a few days... unfortunately it is getting fixed and back to owner that does not want to sell it. Sorry to bother you guys but I could use some GM help.

05 Malibu 2.2 is throwing a P0463 code (fuel level sensor high) and is keeping it from passing CT emissions.

There's wiring harness at the tank that I assume has the wires for the sender, EVAP, etc.

Can either of you tell me the colors for the fuel level sensor? I want to jumper it out to get the car passed without throwing any money at it (belongs to my girlfriend and her daughter drives it).
