42 at flywheel and 35 at the pto. It's the same size as my old one just the updated model and a cab. People complained and LS listened!! So many updates but the biggest seller for me was the gear ratios and engine. The old one was either too slow or too fast for field work. Now you can hit almost 7mph in mid range. Before it was barely 4! They replaced the 1.9 turbo 3 with a 2.2 NA 4 yanmar. So much more torque.

Now that you've got the cab for cold weather, when are you moving up here and starting work at the dealership?
We has 1 clown walk out on Friday morning. Supposedly he was going to be told he was done. I was off Monday and Tuesday. I'm betting he walks in 10 minutes late like he always does this morning.

As soon as you move down here! Lol!! Keep your eye out in the next few years Ed, you may end up working with us in Wisconsin.


I didn't get the cab for climate control (well, sort of!) I got it because you can only eat so much dust! I also bought a 7ft blade for snow removal for the simple fact that if you specifically buy something for one job you'll never use it. I hope that how it works!

I've been looking for something (used but) very similar with a backhoe.

That should do ya nicely.
If you find it isn't working out, I've got a inside storage spot that it could be left at.

I thought about a backhoe too but I couldn't justify the cost verses how much I would use it

As new as it is I bet you would be better off going to your local dealer to fill your indoor storage space!

All it would take to justify the backhoe cost is self installing or updating a drainfield and maybe using it to aid in pushing over trees.

Personally I'd add a mech thumb to lift logs for cutting and moving some stones, as there is a good amount of that kind of projects where I'm at.

The grapple on the FEL works well for the grabbing tasks. The backhoe thumb is great if you need to put stuff in very specific spots. I've had both types of grapples. If you have a lot of loose brushy stuff and logs the clamshell one does very well but if you have a lot of irregular stuff the rake type will be your friend.

Amazon. Listed under the brand name Jenpech. 52cc. It was $120.
The 28cc straight shaft husqvarna I've been using is hell on my elbows after a while and is rather underpowered for the saw blade.
I figured for the price I'd give it a try.

I poured some mix in, primed it and in 2 pulls it was running. Throttle response is pretty good without even touching the carb.
Once deer hunting ends and I head back out to clear stuff in the woods I'll see how it goes.
