Three days of burning Turkey Oak bark.
No, this cast iron fireplace features no ashtray - You gotta shovel out excess ash.

I am certain I can burn bark for at least one more day without cleaning.

P.S.:
The fire is being fed through the top lid!
I opened the doors only to see where I am at with required maintenance.

I made a smoker out of an old water pressure tank. Direct heat, so learning how to smoke (not sear) chicken/pork/duck has been a challenge. Yesterday the whole fryer chicken came out a golden perfection. Today was the rack of Pork Ribs. Wow! And the taste is tender and juicy, and the dog gets the bones.

All I use is the down branches from my property, mostly pine and some fir. Really simple and slowly gets my yard cleaned up, season to season.

I've been on the hunt for an old 250-gallon propane tank, with plans to make/weld a proper Offset Smoker.

You need a scope and bipod for for that view?

Looked at some of my grandfathers stuff yesterday. He is front lower right in first and on left in second. Front line photographer WWII in Italy. Entered in the battle of Anzio, Jan 22 1944. Dad said he would never talk about it.

Nice rig Steve! What's the HP on that one?
42 at flywheel and 35 at the pto. It's the same size as my old one just the updated model and a cab. People complained and LS listened!! So many updates but the biggest seller for me was the gear ratios and engine. The old one was either too slow or too fast for field work. Now you can hit almost 7mph in mid range. Before it was barely 4! They replaced the 1.9 turbo 3 with a 2.2 NA 4 yanmar. So much more torque.
