Took a day off and did a MC ride with some friends Yesterday. Major destination was Elmer's Car (and Toy) Museum as this is their last year. Mecumns (sp?) will be auctioning off the motor vehicles in September this year. He really liked his peddle cars as they lined each of the 4 sheds that we were allowed to view. The toys will be dealt with somewhere in the future. What a collection(I'd be called a hoarder) but you could really tell the passion.

Mitchell sawmill is still going but Tom died a couple of years ago. Been a bit since I have ventured out that way.

Saddens my soul to hear this. I called his listed number a few(or more) yeas ago and a Gal Said he was "At the mill and would be back later" I regret I never called back. When I hammered his blades it was always a BIG challenge. One mill had a 6L71 (235HP)and the other a 8V71 (318HP) 8 " collars .. He was making Tie timber and had 2 men cant turning and a carriage rider on each mill. Fellas must have overdosed on Dramamine before lunch everyday. The speed and timing was something impressive to see (And Scary) Rim speed was up there past 9000 to 9,500Ft/min but an "F" style tooth couldn't clear the cut of chips fast enough and the blade consistently crowded out of the log and that is heII to get a blade to stand up to the work when the teeth are crammed full up of Chips. WE (C.C. Conaway and I) always told him he needed to be running a 2-1/2 Saw blade .. All memories. Thanks for sharing that with me.

Boss just got back from Hawaii vacation so I sent this to him this morning and asked whether the truck or he had the bigger hole in the rear end. Don't know why I didn't get a response.

Caught a couple skunks at my grampas. Hard to tell but ther is accualy 2 skunks in one trap. Got the one but thanks to my rem 597 for jamming i missed the second. I need to get a new clip. It never jammed till i lost the original clip and the replacement one is terrible.
