Looked like this
No idea what he did to it but he had cut the piston and ground the jug he said
I kept stripping kicker gears it would pull a wheelie through 5th gear.

yamaha had some fantastic livery in the 80’s. There making strong money over here

Turning rusty crusty into a farm truck. Someone did some weight reduction by eliminating the parking brakes. Since dad and I will be using this I'm going to fix them. Good thing I am since the rear wheel bearings are bad. I'll drop the carrier later and look those bearings over as well. Old gear oil with friction modifier is nasty. Think I'll just clean the rotors and calipers since pads are good.

Are the drum brakes just for parking? I've never seen a dual set-up before.

Steve already answered your question but in order to use a parking brake with rear discs you will either need smaller shoes like this or a hydraulic/mechanical caliper. They work by using a cable to compress the caliper instead of the brake peddle. Main reason I'm fixing it is for help holding when pulling trailer. Extra security when loading boat solo. It keeps the truck against the chute when loading cattle. Get one a little wild and only using the transmission park can sometimes give them enough slop to bounce the trailer and truck forward.

Granby, about 30 to 35 minutes to Wheaton.
Stayed at a "CHEAP" trailer park in Fairview. Remember Cassville/Pierce city(?)Wise Guys Tom Duane and Irving/Pineville (Himes Brothers)/Neosho. been 45 years Tom Mitchell was still sawing but a lot had to change. I really liked the country that I did see.
