Almost look like they would be used for hydraulic fittings and such that require a very thin wrench. Pure speculation on my part however.

I used Fram for many years, no longer. New filters with holes, blowing oil all over, not what I want. People who do extensive reviews of oil filters, rate them low. As always, your money, buy what you like.

Got in a filter argument with a guy at work. He said wix was the best filter you could buy. I said OE was the best. So we cut open the OE filters for my truck and Hyundai vs. wix and the filters we carry at work. Of course the quick lube filters where the worst. The wix we agreed were equal to OE but the wix we're almost twice the price than the ones we bought from the dealer!
