What's the deal with all the weld on buckets. I've seen it around here before, but noone could tell me why it's done

It's a hard facing/ wear shield. Prolongs life if done right those patterns aren't the best but better than some I've had to redo. The big bucket needed a new lip and shanks but boss was too cheap so he had me build up the scalloped out areas and weld and grind shanks to tighten the teeth up

Drywall or sheet metal screw?
6 or 7 drywall screws around the perimeter of the door panel seemed to be a factory authorized repair on those model years.
A machine screw. Some one had already added a bigger washer and it had pulled through. Panels are still tight for now.

When the ring terminal from the main wiring harness on the truck breaks it shuts everything down. Borrowed a crescent from customer, removed insulation from wire for about 3/4 inch below crimp, opened wires, installed it and battery cable back to starter. Total break down time 25 minutes for diagnosis, walking next door for tools and repair. Better than having to wait an hour and a half for a wrecker.

Especially with my job. It's strange the way we watch time so closely and have trouble trying to make other people understand it. When I run behind I am almost bouncing off the walls to get people moving. I started jumping on a forklift at one place when they are busy so they don't have to stop and take care of getting my stuff to me.
