Someone gave this to my niece
Other than a couple rust spots on the rockers otherwise very solid
Runs great no issue's
Trans seems fine reverse and forward no problems.

Shouldn't cause it to not shift into 4th. It should only cause the torque converter to not lock up.
Check engine light on?

I just drove it
It seems to only go from third to second when you hammer on it.

I misunderstood the question. I thought it wouldn't shift to overdrive (4th) gear.
I will have to dig into a manual on Monday, but I don't recall them downshifting from 3rd to 1st on a w.o.t. acceleration.

Sorry I worded it badly it won't go into overdrive at all.
But the passing gear I assume it's 2nd gear
and reverse work properly
Fluid is clear and not burned.

Dave, if it had no reverse, second or 4th, I'd say it broke the sunshell. No 2nd or 4rh could be a band or servo issue

For my niece.
This is all that's left the pile was 6ft tall
When we unloaded it

Her husband let a neighbor get a little bit of it he said
Hell he must've took 4 truckloads or more.
I'm out I got a different job and don't get off early enough to cut before dark.
