You ain't kidding. I ended up pulling the shroud and just took the pump out with the fan still attached. I then had to bust the old water pump off so I could fit the pulley in a vise.

That's a black and yellow garden spider. Very good to have around. Non venomous. Their legs tend o have some orange markings. Abdomen is always black with yellow dots. It's a safe one sir.
