You will need a bigger shed. Its inevitability once you start acquiring bigger tractors. You think chainsaws are bad. Tractors are worse!!

I know, I was into tractors before I was into chainsaws! I think the most I ever had was 3 or 4 at the same time. Now I've just got the one. This one has all the bells and whistles a garden tractor could have- shaft driven transaxle, shaft driven deck, power steering, hydraulic deck lift, auxilary hydraulics, locking differential, tail lights, reverse lights, dash warning lights of every kind. It can take a Cat-0 three point hitch. Without going to a sub compact like a Kubota BX, this is as good as it gets for me.

It true bigger toys take more space!! Chainsaws are nice, being smaller is good/and bad!

I've been working on it for 8 years, everytime I finally get it back together I tear it back apart because I'm a perfectionist. Last year I had a Buick 350 completely rebuilt, all the go-fast parts are in it, and it's still sitting, waiting to be fired up to break in the cam inside my basement.

One day I'll get it done!

That will be cool when you get done! It took me 4 years to to my car, that was after building the mechanical previously. It’s a lot of work to do a full resto!

Yeah it has come a huge way since I got it. It's been a big learning experience. I got the car and started working on it when I was 14 and didn't know jack *s-wordt about working on anything. If I put all my other projects aside and busted my ass on it, I could probably have it done pretty quickly. There's really not a whole lot left to do, weld a few patch panels in the floor and firewall, paint the underside, put the 9" under it, plumb it and put it back together. I actually started and finished the restoration on my truck in roughly a year from 2017-2018 while the Regal got put on hold. The day I bought it-

My interest comes and goes which is what has held me up more than anything. I'm not good at managing multiple projects, lol.

I understand, I had to really focus to finish mine, you have to give up a lot of free time to do it, body and paint is involved! I loved my car and always had a vision, so that kept me going, and once it’s drivable it helps a lot. I saved and attacked certain phases as time and money allowed. I really want to do my truck next but I don’t have the time now!

Speaking of trucks, been thinking of taking a trip out west, it's a bit of a haul, but I been itching for another "rig" from out there.

Lincoln city is pretty close, about 40-45 minute drive. If you want a cream puff look on bend Craig’s list, eastern Oregon rigs are premo! My brother picked up an eastern Oregon 67 Chevy truck, and the bed floors was shiny bare metal and sitting outside all its life! Even the rock chips were shiny metal, it did have some rust, but nothing really, less than a month form getting it home, it started to show rust. My silver square, was from eastern Oregon too, originally

Yeah mine hasn't really ever been drivable. I think I've put 31 miles on it in the 8 years I've owned it. The engine was a big chunk of the project, and it was a lot of fun to build. I can do body work but I really despise it. I don't mind cutting and welding, but finish work is just miserable. The outside body of the car has already been done, it's just the firewall and the underside that I want to clean up. They were hiding some pretty ugly stuff that I initially ignored.

No, churches are still closed. Mrs. and I had been feeling the calling to start a home church anyway, so we have been doing that since March. We have 6-10 adults plus a pile of kids every week.
Good on you, we've done that for many yrs, lot's of work, but the rewards are "out of this world" :D.
Still watching closer for something someone has brought back themselves and also has a more local title as that can make it easier. I found a pretty nice excursion that came from out west with a v-10, but it's only 2wd, I still may grab it up as it would be a sweet tow rig, and I can haul a lot of folks to church with it :).

Anyone been to the Henry Ford museum? Place was awesome !!View attachment 241883 View attachment 241884 View attachment 241885
Yep, the wife goes every yr with her 5th grade classes.
Yeah. Went to the Rouge plant. It was shut down for summer maintenance. But was still bad ass
I still call rouge plant/area stinkyville , and they've cleaned the area up a lot in the last 20yrs. I've hauled steel into all those plants.
To me the Detroit area is much like Long Island, best thing about them is putting them in the rearview mirror .
Those fans are sweet. I've laid around many plants on skids of steel could for hrs watching them spin nice and slow, while waiting to get unloaded, they're hypnotizing :tiburon:.

Nice.
Not a lot on Bend, quite a few on Portland CL.
Not sure where exactly mine was from, but 4yrs later it still looks pretty good; little rust on the chassis, but it's still nice to work on when needed. My little odyssey is the same(Colorado), been a joy to work on in regards to rust, even though it has a little rust on it from being out here. The suburban had a little bare metal behind the headlight bezel where they rub on the fender, it just has some surface rust on it now. Unfortunately I've smashed the Suburban up with a tree, a deer, and then the rear doors with a trailer. It also needs the ball joints done, A/C diagnosed and recharged, trailer hitch hole repaired as it's getting ovaled out, and I'm sure there's other things I've just gotten used to.

Looks like dry material hoppers. Probably for Portland cement. The silos come in empty and get stood up, then filled from delivery trucks with pneumatic unloaders.

This had me scampering to wikipedia. I live across the harbour from the Portland Cement Works here in NZ. You had me wondering if our cement made it all the way to the US which seemed unlikely. Turns out Portland is the type of cement and our Portland area was named because of access to the lime, and not the other way around. That is just one of the things i learned today.
