Yeah that’s a bummer. My buddy wouldn’t fly again either. We were Medics up there, it was his last day. The remaining half of the crew had to hike down, we met them all at the Junction City FD for a crisis debriefing.

I worked part of the fire up Corral Hollow up at the Octopus road junction at the top. Guy at a property just across the bridge and to the left , fired a few high shots across the bow on our way up in the mornings

Was there a lot of junk cars? That might have been my cousin... the cops showed up at their property, he mouthed off to them, and ended up getting tased!

My uncle and cousins all moved to Montana, and sold that property to a marijuana grower.

Was a totally seized up kinda day. Torches were required. Truck is much quieter now.

Not actually, but this was my first Helo ride at 5
Sausalito to SFO air taxi, 20 miles by car.
Dad was going on business trip to SoCal
I got to go aboard and check it out and say good-bye, the doors closed, engine spooled up and Surprise —- Going to Disneyland also
E-ticket ride !!

This is the property where my grandparents lived since the late 1950s. They also owned 70 acres a couple of miles further up that road, where my dad built a house in the early ‘80s.
