Stitch welds are your friend and don't weld across the frame. (You probably already know this, but thought I'd share.)

Do you mean no solid bead horizontally?

My plan is to stitch weld 1-1/2" bead, 1-1/2" space... and no vertical welds.

Good plan. Welding length wise along the frame will not weaken it. Across it, up, down, top or bottom can certainly weaken it.

The new to me truck and trailer, trailer needed TLC, its very sturdy, made from 1/4 check plate 2x 3500 axles with brakes. Truck is late 07 with 31,000 on it
Some blow down fir and pine. Now split,,,
The CFB 461 did the nastys,,,25 bar 8 pin,,

Oh it’s definitely cheaper, the Costco river is always stocked! And you’re always guaranteed to get your limit! But it is definitely not nearly as fun as getting them yourself!
