That mac is going to be a shelf queen, had been collecting part, and try to find nice examples and nos stuff, I have another kart Mac that is a nice user, and hopefully going to get another two built with some hot rod parts, to be good work saws.

this is a user, I fire it up all the time just to listen to it! LolView attachment 203951View attachment 203952 View attachment 203953

I am all for electric vehicles and development! I think it’s really cool! I just don’t want them to take away my gas stuff! For most Current driving needs a small electric pickup truck even with 150 mile range would work fine, they don’t have everything figured out yet, but with all the money being poured into it it shouldn’t take long for some of these things to happen, a 400 mile range and charging in under 15 minutes is what it’s gonna take to make it main stream, once that happens the argument for gas will be virtually eliminated, And they have to keep the cost down! LOL oh yeah and don’t take my hot rod!

My big question with EV's is how will everybody charge their EV on an already stressed infrastructure? No body has put any money or effort into infrastructure to support them.

I completely agree Steve! Our infrastructure is a joke right now! Right now we really should have bullet trains doing cross country runs and north south coastal runs that are all electric, We need a massive upgrade in the power grid everywhere, look at all the push in California for electric, and now they’re talking about planned power outage is for the next decade to combat potential forest fires! Right now I think they’re thinking start to create a demand and then work backwards, versus building the infrastructure first and then trying to come up with a car, The other thing I don’t think people realize it’s just because the electric car has no omissions doesn’t mean it doesn’t create heat, which in the end is part of the problem, plus all of the power and omissions needed to make batteries and the cars, I think it still quite a ways off in reality, but it’s the baby steps, I would like to put solar panels on my house to save some cost, all in time

Yes they are, and mandatory on some model’s, the older large huskies could use a decompView attachment 203965

Yeah, I just dunno what's goin on with them. Maybe it's the size of the pully or the pawl diameter, or the angle it exits the starter assembly, I dunno. But they seem to need more elbow than most. The D-handle makes a huge difference. I also added the decomp on to this one just to make sure the damn thing will start. I didn't even bother advancing the timing.
Although, come to think of it, it wasn't a fun time on that MMWS 044 to get her started without a decomp. And that one liked to bite.

Yes, there is something off with them for sure! I did a bgd on the 2100 and I thought I would die! Lol the d handle is a dream, a decomp would be nice thou! This saw will not get a timing advance! Lol if I ported it it would probably help some, drop some comp! The port timing is super conservative on these

All I did was clean up the HyWay 87cc jug, added a bit of intake by mostly adding a curve to the lower lip as it enters the case(better throttle response and a bit more timing). It mostly helps in the mid range flow as sheer begins at about 7* or so, so a slight curve adds a lot of flow at lower RPM - like what a 3 or 4 angle valve job does. Caber rings, meteor piston. Also removed the lip from the lower xfers. Kept the gasket(.045 squish), and gutted the muffler to the point it is almost too loud. Has amazing throttle response now. But the ignition died before I could test it. I thought it was the secondary coil, but it appears to be the primary coil. So now I am sawless until I get the coil for the 288, piston for the 044, and new intake manifold/tube for the MS241. I'm not currently working, so I have to choose which baby I love most until my next job.
