3hp motor, Emglo L pump. Just got it hooked up yesterday. 13cfm up to 120psi, then 12cfm up to 150psi. I'll keep an eye out for a 5hp, but this is good for now, it's only on a 30 gal tank.

3 hp electric is fine for that pump. Just a fyi about those pumps use thick break in oil for a while then switch to the ams oil synthetic compressor oil. Those pumps don't use a calm shell bearings on the rods like roll air pumps do.

Thanks. It's from '84, so I'll skip the break in oil. Where do I get the ams oil synthetic compressor oil from?

I use to order it through car quest the oil is water thin easy start up in cool temps.
It may blow a Lil more through the case vent but it's also easier to clean. Nice part about it too is if it looks grayish it time to change it

Thanks. Now I just need to paint the tank and see if I can find an Emglo decal kit. This is what it started out as.

That's a great picture. How many miles total on that trip? I've got a little old SV650, great little machine.

We just made it to the Wyoming border and we had to retreat to Canada, about 3000 kilometers,,(2000 miles)I wish I would have had the Vstrom 650 it has the same power to weight ration and gets double the fuel milage, great bikes none the less.
Saw some neat places.
