I remember digging trenches, holes, and splitting wood by hand growing up. Now i have a post hole digger, a hydro log splitter and a sub soiler!

Depends on the horses. Warmbloods that are trained to jump probably see 4ft as a dare.

Buffalo don't find 5' a dare or a problem. There's a little herd just off hwy 21, large commercial outfit over West of Potosi IIRC. Thought wood be less going direct to supplier. At least a buck a pound less at at a high price specialty store in St. Louis county isn't really worth the effort.
