How many miles?
We had some cam issues back then.
Which body style? 07 was a changeover year. Could get both bodies.

Edit.
If cam issue was present, it likely would have shown by now. But not always.
160,000. I believe it's the earliest body style

I should add in that when I say cam issues, I mean thats the most common big dollar failure. But, it's also not such a common failure that it would keep me from owning one.
I See the sun shell in the 4L60 trans break from time to time.

Still, I would say if it looks decent and not thrashed on, go for it.

You have to bear in mind, guys like @Steve and I see these at their worst and can nit pick and point out failures of pretty much anything.

I gotcha bud. I'm not a Chevy guy but I'm considering one because they are still pretty simple to work on (to a point and so on) I posted a link above but forgot to quote it on your post.

Take a look at the exhaust manifolds. Make sure all 6 bolt heads are visible.
If not, it will likely have an exhaust "tick" cold. It can get bad enough to leak all the time too.
Dont take that as cause to pass it up, but use as a bargaining chip.
I cant recall if those all had drum rear brakes?
Often neglected, so it may need addressing there.

Being a Bama truck you shouldnt have to worry about brake lines.

Finished boiling my sap. Ended up with about 3 gallons of finished syrup. Still canning it!

On the coast we have to do a little extra precautionary work, button nails instead of staples in the field and in stainless, and we put ice water shield under the window flange caulk the window in and more ice and water on top, then vapor barrier and more tape to seal that in, all siding gets back caulked.
