That sucks! Reminds me of the time when I was 19 and my brother was 16 and we used my dads 2 week old Toyota pickup to drive into town....he gave us the speach about being careful and what not...well you guessed it...the moment is ingrained into my memory....a rock flys off an oncoming truck...it was total slow motion watching the rock hit the windshield! This was before cell phones, we didnt do anything wrong but it was still not fun to explain to my dad, and would he really believe that we were just driving down the hyway! LolTwo month old windshield got chipped on the way home today.View attachment 164726
Lol yeah I'm sure that went smoothly with your dad. That do it yourself kit took care of most of the chip, but if you look closely you can see it stillThat sucks! Glad it worked out! They didn’t have those kits back then! It went over ok, dad wasn’t exactly excited about, and still asked us if we took it off road...we hadn’t so that was easy! I wish we had those kits back then. It should at least stop it from traveling hopefully.Glad it worked out! They didn’t have those kits back then! It went over ok, dad wasn’t exactly excited about, and still asked us if we took it off road...we hadn’t so that was easy! Lol
I have been lucky, haven’t had a rock chip(in a windshield) in a long time! It’s cool they have the kits, I just hope I don’t get one in my camaro!I wish we had those kits back then. It should at least stop it from traveling hopefully.
Looking forward to it, I've been watching them for a long time now.I'll wait for the corded.
I think it was @Struggle mentioned awhile back how he liked his for quick and easy trim jobs in the city. I could see them being handier than a shirt pocket having one with you on a mower.
Keep us updated please.I just ordered a 36v Makita... I already have several other 18v Makita tools and 8 batteries, so I figured that would be a good way to go. Only $135 for the bare tool...

I've had 2 windshields in my 98 f-150 in the last 7 years. First one was replaced because of an owl, second was from a big a@@ walnut falling about 60 feet and hitting it while I was driving 55-60 mph. Pics are from the walnut. Two month old windshield got chipped on the way home today.View attachment 164726

So I had to bust out the skidsteer.
Little underpowered bastid sure chews through the snow.
I have over the tire tracks on it. 2 sets actually .
A family friend owns a company that makes them along with grapples, bale spears and other attatchments. He had me try a set of prototype cleated ones.
