We are supposed to get snow over the next three days. Time will tell if it amounts to much.

Do You folks up north get that kinda dead quiet, right before the snow begins to drop? The photos pretty much say yep.
Nice to see the pics. But then my brain goes to how wondering much food and fuel/heating reserves has a fellow got under the roof?

Not always.
Sometimes though, when it's dead calm and begins to snow is really cool.
Just last Sunday morning was one of those calm mornings in my bow stand. I could hear a train horn and the nearest the tracks come to me is 9 miles. Steady falling leaves made it sound like a light rain.

I wish. Most times when we get snow it's blowing 15 to 30 mph. It's rare, but there are times we get snow that comes straight down. That's the best. But, then the wind always blows and moves it around.

Was snowing sideways all day,, i have lotsa food in house,,, got 6 cord of wood,, Im good.

@redline4 I ran the 461 by @huskihl in the log pile yesterday. 32" bar, using most of it. Little pinchy, but she has so much grunt that the back chain just helps the operator pull the saw out as it starts to pinch. Good grunt!

Nice! From what I saw of it at Steve's, it looked like it was going to be a saw a guy could lean on however hard he wanted and it would just keep chugging through.
