What caliber is your Marauder? I have a .22 Marauder that has served me well. Probably my favorite discreet pest control tool...View attachment 382682

Yesterday I received my new knife, got the critter that ate my koi fish and played with the 661. Pretty good day.
120 yards or 120 feet? It's a .22. It's all I've ever needed for ground hogs, raccoons, skunks, squirrels and chipmunks. Don't need .22LR power when you're accurate and shooting within 120'. Would be nice to have semi auto capabilities though. Eyeing the new AEA's pretty hard.

Air rifles intrigu me.
My .25 has 31 fpe @50 yds. 19.2 @120 yds. 120 is a long shot for an air rifle. You can set them up for higher velocity, but keeping them subsonic between 900 and 1000 fps is the general rule. This keeps things quiet and pellets will tend to become unstable when supersonic. You have to spend some time with a chrony to figure out the drops. IMO, FX is making the best, these days. Here is a graph of my .25 w/40 yd zero:Okay. I thought that might have been a typo. But I guess not. I wonder how much energy is retained at 120 yards? If the bc of the pellet is know it could be calculated.
My 22lr rifles have moa reticle's plus lots of dial-up. Zeroed at 100 yards. The best to date is 380 something yards on a gopher. All I shoot is cheap bulk Remington ammo. This really limits a guy.
This is the reason I have a hard time going with a air rifle.
Who in y'alls opinion has the best air rifles?

I get striped gophers digging holes and running all over.
I use 12ga 3 1/2" #2shot.. because I have a ton of it.

Works out to 50 plus yards running.
