Someone put a measuring stick there to stop the flap from closing on the overflow safely valve in a fuel tank. So they can fill to 100% capacity.

Good. Theres some half ass stuff at my job on a dehydration system for removing heavy metal from water. I'm sure it has a technical name but its being inspected today and I know a fine is gonna be handed out to someone. Hopefully it leads to an upgrade.

Stuff like that is everywhere. Back in the late 90s, 6 people got burned alive by half ass practices by a connivence store in my state.
