You guys who aren't used to the snow may not realize it,but thats actually a whole lotta water sitting there and it can create a lot of havoc if it fast melts.
Streams and rivers can become quite exciting.
That’s what I keep trying to explain to these telecom & utilities trucks that are getting themselves stuck. They just mash the throttle and go hard with the tires spinning like crazy & then wonder why they end up In The ditch!! And with the other thing, we have a odd mixture of residents. There are quite a few of the more capable country ppl around here that know what they are doin. However there is also alotta people been moving up from the coastal city’s and they are completely clueless!!!Where I live in Kentucky we get snow like that about once a decade. I live out in the country in the hills so people are pretty accustomed to driving in slick or rough conditions even though we don't get that much snow. Now in the cities where people aren't used to snow the roads can become parking lots. The worst ones are those who think that because they drive an SUV they can just drive in their normal crazy way. During the big snow of '21, I drove my 2wd Ford Ranger past many of them in ditches. It's all about the technique!
What's the yellow thing in the bottom pic?
