That 440 is quite the payment!
Yea, equal to about 1400 dollars in labor that I put fourthThat 440 is quite the payment!
Are you going to leave it stock or mod it some?I'm not a collector, so this saw will get used and abused like any other model in my fleet. Actually I sawed with it today, a tank of gas.
Egan straight shot muffler cover, then I would like to install a mint or new slant fin jug from a 10mm 044 on it. I was always very happy years ago sawing with a bone stock 10mm 044. The saw that I upgraded to was a 046mag, which wasn't much more grunt than the 10mm 044, but it seemed like it weighed a ton more. Granted I was only 18 or 19 years old at the time. Years later i bought a new ms440 in 2005 and its was quite a turd in stock form, so I traded it at the dealer for a new ms460, which i had them install a DP muffler cover on that one, what a runner that one was, probably fell, climbed and bucked 2 million board feet of timber with that saw, then she spun a crank bearing. Didn't owe me a dime though, actually I was happy to retire that saw and try the then new 441 which turned out to be the biggest turd of a saw I've ever operated. Another story another time lolAre you going to leave it stock or mod it some?
Yep, I wished y'all was there too!Great pictures and memories @Funky sawman ! Cool stuff for sure!
Car has 63k on it. Customer went almost 10k over on the oil change so depending on the interval selected could be almost 20k on this oil change. Never checked or topped the oil untill the oil light and check engine light came on. Too late, chain came slack and smacked the valve cover breaking it. Used engine installed is 14-15k!!
