Those pedals are a dead giveaway though. The OBS fords are great trucks! I’ve got 325k on mine & have no intention of retiring it.

It's been the toughest truck I've ever owned, and that's after using and abusing a 1984 military k30 chev, 1973 k20, two 1991 dodge Cummins 1 ton 4x4 duallys, and a 2004 ram 2500 cummins.
I do wish my ford had a 6bt Cummins in it though.

Yes they do. I believe the 80-86 are bullnose, 87-91 is brick nose, 92-96 (97 250/350) are OBS. Too many names. That's why I call it my old Ford pickup!
Chevy is just as silly with overlapping body styles! A body style should be a body style, each update in a body style could be a generation of that style

why did the square chevy blazer and suburban go to 91, and all of the Chevy “ classic” bodies!! Lol

Right! Little fun fact. There was no super duty Ford for the 1998 model year. They went from 97 strait to 99!

Wait a few years until you see the 21-23 Chev trucks.
It might be a 22 model year but a 21 engineering year and so on..
In GM service information there's 4 or 5 different selections based off year and Vin.
Lots of WTF do I have here going.

And then On those early 99 7.3 power strokes they used a different turbo setup than both the OBS and Later 7.3’s. Ford was doing all kinds of odd stuff around then….

Yup! We had one of those. Was a 4/98 build date. Was a chore to get all the right parts to fix the turbo and up pipes when that went to hell. Even was a couple tries at the dealer to get the right parts and ended up sending the turbo out to a turbo rebuilder to get repaired.
