Mr. @Philbert , is this a "diamond" or CBN grinding wheel ?
Is there a way to tell the difference?
Any diamond abrasive media I encountered so far was colourless/silver.
This wheel shipped with a grey dressing stone, which makes me think it is a CBN wheel.
I can provide better/different pictures tomorrow.
I do not know how to tell than apart by sight. Google translate says ‘Diamond Grinding Wheel’, so I would go with that.

With CBN wheels they often provide a white cleaning stick, to clear out grinding dust, which is really different from a dressing stick, which is used to shape conventional wheels and expose fresh abrasive.

You might ask the seller or manufacturer how to best take care of that wheel. They probably have a fact sheet on their website.

Look forward to hearing how you bring those carbide chains back!

I am German, as such German is my first language (English is third).

It can say whatever it wants, doesn't mean it IS what is says it is! ;)

As said, the dressing stone that came with the wheel doesn't make sense.
I have never seen or heard of a diamond grinding wheel being dressed or needing dressing! o_O

But none the less, thank You for Your reply.
I will ask the seller, see what he/they have to say.

You trying to say companies misrepresent their products? Never, lol. Let us know what you find out.

3 languages is impressive. I don't think I could ever learn a 2nd, forget about a 3rd...

The "Made in ..." is the best example of product misrepresentation.
Even the company I work at makes parts that say "Made in Italy", so there is that.

I don't want the wheels to be CBN, but I would not mind either.
Apparently CBN does have some advantages over diamond while being second only to diamond in hardness.
That been said, maybe I do want the wheels to be CBN after all! :)

I was born to 2 language parents who had the intelligence to send me to classes for a third.
I don't think I would be here right now if I hadn't attended English in school.
Technically 3 languages is nothing nowadays, but I am glad I know German and English, nevermind Croatian.

CBN for steel cutters.
Diamond for carbide cutters.

Philbert

But, can CBN be used for carbide too?
It is softer only second to diamond, yet endures higher temperatures.
Now I am getting confused.

According to the Interwebs, CBN is only for steel cutters. It is not hard enough to grind carbide. I don’t know if the carbide may damage the abrasive on the CBN wheels.

Diamond is required for carbide. However, diamond is NOT recommended for steel cutters, because they can “fill up“ with the softer steel.

The bond of the CBN wheel will get compromised using it on carbide. Diamond wheels only on carbide cutters .

Ouch that hurts !!

Story is the guy was pulling a 5th wheel and in the local Target store parking lot.
That lot is small. And, currently half is fenced off and filled with cargo containers.
Well, he said he "needed to get around a car and "goosed" the throttle."
And hit a pole.
Yeah, ok. That frame is hammered. It will need a frame, plus all the sheet metal. He must have been hauling azz.
