View attachment 301984 Our woodchipping setup is about 90 years out of date. 1927 McCormick Deering 15-30 running a Rowell silage chopper/blower. We reversed the infeed gears on the silo filler to cut brush into 1" lengths or so.

It does alright for what it is. We have thrown some 5" pine through it and it handled that pretty well. The McCormick doesn't even breathe heavy.
My dad did throw half a rotten railroad tie in it when I was a kid. Ate about half of it and then threw the belt. We spent the next 20 minutes trying to rotate the cutter/fan head backward to get it dislodged...I was wondering how big a chunk it was capable of.
