pump station that runs the hill (and 2 golf courses in the summer) runs about 4000 gpm. every gun has 480v run to it, they get some ferocious electric bills during snowmaking season haha
yeah its crazy what they do for people to ski. i think they have 2 100hp electric motors on main pumps, a couple smaller (50 or so hp) jockey pumps. vfd’s on the big onesDamn, that's a lot of water!
and thats at like 150 psi at the station, to get it up the hill. lose 1 psi every 2.3 feet of elevation, and those guns need good pressure to make it all workDamn, that's a lot of water!
