Will the crank hold that? Whats the weight difference?[/QUOTE]
Yes the crank can hold it, there are even 600-700hp kits! The rods are h beams so they aren’t crazy heavy, but I am going to get the scales out and weigh the difference tonight

You ever hold a new k&n up to light? I'll take a uni or twin air please.
I like foam, but it has limits, you can only make so much power for a certain size. Many quads gain 10% hp with the same size k%n. I tried huge uni filter on a built banshee years ago would barely get past half the rpm range, even did some extreme jeting to try to make it run, it wouldn’t! Put K&N’s smaller than the uni’s and it got full revs. A stock bike is fine if it’s big enough, a lot of times there isn’t enough room for a proper sized foam filter

It’s for a 1000cc Yamaha side by side, going to be a 400hp turbo setup

And for @Dub11 almost 80 grams heavier! And that’s without rings and bearings! There are a lot of these kits out there, that’s all I can say.View attachment 289467

Thanks

And does that scale double for medicinal purposes?

So the fluffer on first shift aka the noodler after he stuck his hand in the press left me a note saying the roll stand has "air problems". 20210331_234655.jpg

Well it's a hydraulic system and a line blew. But since the shop doesn't open for another 6 hours I'll leave it for them to remove the line cuz I'm not in the mood for slipping and sliding on the floor.

I see them quite often, usually extremely filthy. The only actual issue I've seen from air filters over the years is too much oil on the maf sensor or so clogged the engine can't breathe.
As a teenager I had a p.o.s. Chevy Beretta. I ran that car with a homemade dryer vent cold air kit with no air filter for 3 years and quite a few miles..:D I kinda miss that pile of chit.
