Pressur/vacuum tester

so finally got a mv8500 tester. Planning to bust the inside out of a spark plug and install a threaded male adapter in the shell.
Will it screw directly in to the spark plug shell? Need pipe dope or tape?
What have others used for this?

I test through the impulse line. I also bought an adapter online for the spark plug hole. Screws into the plug hole and has 1/8” pipe thread inside so you can add any kind of nipple you want.

Most of my saws right now dont have an impulse line. Pulse is through the block

I had a old compression tester i cut the guage off of and took the shader valve out. That works good for me.

Nahh, youre not ignorant. I just tried looking, and to be honest @fordf150 website has undergone some changes and i cant navigate it or find a couple other things ive been after either... these adapters do exist i promise...

Figured I'd add a tid bit. This is "plumbers gasket" material. Home depot has it for like $6. Cut it and use it for each series saw. Mark on it and seal away

That's the one I use and that's where I bought it. What's nice about it is the long hex surface so a wrench can be used easily if needed.
