I remember seeing mangey Yotes around here for about 15 years, some of the bad ones have no hair at all. Usually a nasty cold winter will take care of a lot of them.

Mange affected foxes, do coyotes and foxes get this in the United States?
Its a sad way for a fox to die.

A big wild dog i shot a few years back with a .17rem, this was one of a pack of 4, 2 were dingo cross looking.
They had killed 40 sheep on this property.
After i shot the first the others ran up a thickly covered mountain, i started howling like the wild dogs do but trying to do it as if the shot dog was still alive, they started howling back and 1 returned to check on his mate, it came to 200m and my mate missed it, havnt seen them since.
The dog was big, i was struggling to hold it up for pic.

He was actually in very healthy condition, his fur had seed pods/prickles stuck to it.
I regretted not keeping the skull, it was very broad.

I read that article, it was in the ag section of the local radio station here in SW IA. I didn’t realize there were wolves in WI, I guess if they are in the UP of MI it only stands to reason they would be into WI & maybe MN.

I think there are more here than our DNR will admit to.
I know a bunch of guys who live further north and have tons of trail cam pics of them.
I live dead center of the state, north of Stevens Point, south of Wausau. I have seen trail cam pics from guys I know about 30 miles north of me, and if it's a Yote, it's the biggest damn one I've ever seen.

Sounds vaguely familiar: IA DNR here refused to admit that there were a few mountain lions roaming around here, disputed peoples claims until foot prints were ID’d & they were seen on trail cams; MO DNR has only recently admitted to releasing some rare & according to them native to the area rattlesnakes just south of us at a lake. They denied it for years.

Sounds about like NY, DEC says there's no mountain lions here in the Adirondacks. Same thing, guys got trail cam pics and I know two guys that each saw one and I've seen tracks in the snow that weren't no bobcat

Out last night after foxes in cold wet windy conditions, decided to take a 22/250 as my usual .17rem is wind and rain sensitive.
Managed to bag 6, the 250 really hits hard with 45grn hollow points.
Was calling with an Icotec caller using the distressed crow call, had 2 double headers called in.

Thanks, the rifle shoots very well, the barrel hasnt seen many rounds.
My cousin gave me a box of Winchester white box 45grn jhp, im shooting them off at the moment and then I'll continue to reload.

Let me ask you something, been looking around at 22/250...what is the deal with finding the lever action rifles in this caliber?

I dont think ive ever seen a lever action chambered in 22/250, about the only brand and model that possibly does is the Browning BLR.
The main reasons the 22/250 is chambered in bolt actions is because generally a bolt action is more accurate and they can have a longer barrel to get the most velocity possibly from the cartridge.
